Postby stillto » Tue May 23, 2006 12:12

Recently my company has changed over to Apple. Now we can no longer access our storagebird lan 160 GB. I can still get on to it with windows, in the normal ways. With the mac it shows up in the network but then when we try to connect. i t just dont work. any suggestions?

Sorry, I do not know anything about Macs.

The Storagebird LAN manual says:
Supported Operating System: Windows 98SE / ME / 2000 / XP, Mac OS X 10.2 and above

If "MAC OS X 10.2 and above" is the operating system of your Apple computer, it should work.

Which firmware do you have ? Version 1221 is the actual official version.

If this does not help, I would contact the FSC support via Internet (Sorry, I did not find the english site):

Maybe there is already a new beta firmware for the device that fixes the problem or, if not, they know about it and can fix the problem.

i had same problem too

I solved it myself cauz FS is very bad as in no support for mac

so in finder go to

GO >> "Connect to server"

use : smb://*IP OF YOUR EXTERNAL HDD*/*FOLDER NAME*

*IP OF YOUR EXTERNAL HDD* is the ip you router gives ur hdd (or static) check router

*Folder name* the folder on the hdd u want to acces

this way u can work with your hdd
