[Recercare]

A friend of mine is trying to change boot sequence in his Scaleo 600. It has a d1555 mainboard. I've browsed the usermanual for that mainboard but to no avail. I believe the BIOS is phoenix. Anyone with that mainboard who can give me a tip? I don't have that computer so it's not easy to guide my rookie friend over the phone.

There's a seperate BIOS Manual.<BR> <A HREF="http://manuals.fujitsu-siemens.com" TARGET=_blank>http://manuals.fujitsu-siemens.com</A> should have it. It's for ALL FSC BIOSes ever, so a lot of things in there are obsolete, though.<P>Basically have him enter the BIOS with F2. There he should be on the Page where in the lower part the boot order can be chosen. All the keys he may peass are described on-screen. If you have him read everything to you over the phone it should be quite obvious how to change the boot order.<P>If he wants to occasionally boot from some other device, have him press F12, this brings up a Boot Menu.
