Have you used your Warrenty without receipt?

Postby Unhappycustomer » Fri Mar 24, 2006 16:03

I lost my receipt for my laptop which i bought less than a year ago...
some ppl have said that all u need is the serial number at the bottom of laptop and that should be sufficient enough to claim the warrenty?

Can anybody confirm this?

Warranty from FSC, yes without a receipt. All you need is a s/n.

fsc has the production data in the database, they got also a date that they think that the system is sold. the waranti starts from that date. if the system is older than the waranty date in the fsc database but you got the system later than tis date you need a receipt

If you need warranty support from the supplier, it's important to get them on your side. Therefore, your best bet is to get the evidence from your credit or debit card.

Thinking it will be done via Fujitsu-Siemens is wasting your time because they're not the best people to help in this instance.
