So you have a D887 Mainboard. Sorry, the manual for this does not mention overdrive processors. But I found one site that claims that P II Overdrives are at least dual processor capable.

Hi, Juggernaut
It is a good idea to upgrade a 4MP Pentium Pro 166 512 cache processor system to a 2MP Pentium II OverDrive processor (2x333 MHz) system, It is a poor upgrade?
I think that is better a clustering of two primergy 560 for robustness better than a modification, what do you think about?
I use unix like sistems..
tnx
Sorry, I'm no expert at those things. I'd leave the P-Pro in the System and use it as it is.

Oh - what a solution.
Depending on the current server applications, you can achieve better performance even by an upgrade to 4xppro200 1mb, e.g. if you're using your system as a databank server. i know these prozzies are hard to find and dammit expensive, but gives you max performance on this platform. on the other side: cpus like ppro overdrives are more expensive, powerleap offers upgrades beginning at 300-400$.
these upgrades should work even in a primergy 560, due the use of vrms that support multiple voltages.
another option is expanding memory. edo ecc memory sticks are very cheap on ebay.
