Postby MAHESH205L » Thu Mar 21, 2019 10:48

Dear experts,

we've PRIMERGY RX2540 M1 SERVER. We are facing Server hanging issue frequently.

during the hanging time Power LED's are flashing. at first time we thought power options problem like sleep mode. we've changed to never sleep kind of options.
also observed that network communication loss during the hanging time.

can anyone please give a solution for this problem.

thank you

Dear PRIMERGY user,

What exactly are you referring to with the term "Power LEDs"?
In order to determine the root cause of the observed behavior, you'd probably want to examine the logs of the Operating System executed on the server, and the System Event Log of the Management controller chip iRMC on the mainboard.

In either of them you might find indications for the trouble reasons.

The power led refers power supply indication Led's.
I've checked system log and found no events were generated during the hang period.

can you please tell me how can I check System Event Log of the Management controller chip iRMC on the mainboard.

That's what I thought. This indicates the server's switched off.

Not unexpected. But do you find any unusual indication about the power down/power up period?

Regarding the iRMC capabilites, configuration and operation please refer to the manual.
