Fujitsu notebooks that support mSATA SSDs

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook S6520 notebook, which I am considering installing an mSATA SSD

I note that there does not seem to be any publicly available info on which Fujitsu notebook models support such. In the link below, Fujitsu is conspicuously missing

hence, can anyone here help me out?

1) which are the Fujitsu models that support mSATA SSDs? and are there any specifics of the mSATA SSDs that I need to be aware of, before I purchase one for installation as the boot drive

2) I have opened up the base cover of my Fujitsu Lifebook S6520, and note that there is a slot that my mSATA SSD (an INTEL SSDMAEMC080G2) can fit in, but upon re-boot, the BIOS cannot detect it. Is this an issue with this mSATA SSD model, or is it that the S6520 cannot accommodate an mSATA SSD? Please refer to links below

Stumbled across your post here and thought I'd share what I know. I explored the same line of inquiry with my UH572 hoping that I could swap out the UMTS card already installed in the mPCI-e slot. What I've gathered from online sluething is that the majority of these connectors on laptops aren't wired to a SATA controller (save for a few that are always labelled, usually with "mSATA") so even though an mSATA SSD will fit it will not work since it can't communicate essentially.

There are some miniPCI-e SSD:s with inbuilt controllers or PATA SSD:s that will work but they're rare to come across and expensive when you do find them and often in small storage capacities.

It's quite confusing with how everything's named but I hope that helped clear things up for you a bit.
