tx1330m3 linux

Postby fabiobizz » Wed Nov 07, 2018 15:48

Goodmornig. I'm configuring my first linux primergy tx1330m3, Redhat. I have Praid ep420i with 3x300gb hds. I have installed ServerView Raid, via rpm. It is working via browser so I can view raid5 configuration.
Is there a possibility to send any alert, to a windows Pcs, without browser open?? Like hd foult??

Tks

Good afternoon,
SV RAID leverages the capabilities of SNMP to propagate any status information.
Please have a look at the hints in SV RAID manual, chapter "6.2 Events / SNMP Traps", on page 64ff.

Generally, you also might want to have a look at the whole monitoring solution for PRIMERGY servers, called ServerView OperationsManager, which offers even more signalling options, and which (amongst others) relies on data coming from SV RAID (and SV agents).

Why not just try?

But honest:
Of course, the ISO protocol definitions are OS agnostic. It doesn't matter which "components" actually use the protocol, as long as they adhere to the standards of this protocol. Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to monitor diverse objects with a single monitoring instance.

For details on the activation of protocols in different OSes, please refer to the OS's documentation.
