T900 Keyboard problem of wrong keys

Postby gkudaka » Thu Feb 05, 2015 8:18

About 2 weeks ago, I suddenly started getting a weird keyboard problem on my Lifebook T900. Certain keys on my right hand have become a different set of keys -- in the 1st row, the U,I, O then the [ which is now a carriage return; in the 2nd row, the J K L ; ' and in the 3rd row, a few keys there.

I thought it was the keyboard, so I ordered a replacement keyboard and tried installing it today. Nope, the error is still there. Fortunately, this is the computer I use in my bedroom to work before I go to bed, or when I wake up, so it's a real PIA but not a crisis. I would, however, like to fix this problem.

Any suggestions?

NUMLOCK ?!?
Windows XP was unable to detect your keyboard.
Press F1 to retry or F12 to abort.

This is so absolutely stupid. You're right. It was the number lock... I never use that on my computer so I must have accidentally hit it at one point. I'm kicking myself!!!!

thank you for solving my problem. I was pulling out my hair and it was such an idiotic simply thing.

Well, now i have a spare keyboard :-D
