Amilo Pi 1536 Mother board

I bought a used motherboard P53AI0 to repair my laptop Amilo Pi1536, the number that is printed is 37GP53000-C0 PCB M / B REV C BD P53 and socket modules SO-DIMM puts 82GP53000-C0F (like all the disused mine), but with BIOS version 1.07, I tried to update the BIOS with the same I have in mine faulty (v1.25) downloaded from the website of Siemens Fujits using the program that runs on Windows and it shows me the following message "This BIOS is not for this model" and I could not update, then run in the settings notebook Phoenix BIOS and saw that the Manufacturer is: Fujistu Siemens and product name: AMILO XI 14xx, should not AMILO PI 15xx say?, is why you do not let me update?

hola, he tenido el mismo problema. Seguro que donde compraste la placa te la vendieron como pi 1536 o xi 15xx (por la apariencia) pero el problema es que no son del todo iguales. Los alienware m5550, m5750, m5770 usan la misma bios. yo he instalado una de estas y funciona perfectamente (si quieres ampliar la memoria sobre todo a mas de 2gb). En cualquier caso te recomiendo que primero hagas una copia de seguridad de tu bios original de amilo xi 14xx series pues es prácticamente imposible encontrarla por internet sobre todo por si necesitas restaurarla por si no te convence, y una vez tengas la copia de tu bios puedes probar con las de dell alienware que indique antes. Las bios de pi xxxx o xi 15xx no valen. Espero haberte aclarado algo.
