Thanks for the reply. I did clean the dust filter and all external vents but it didn't help.
I've seen a number of other posts around the internet of similar complaints across a variety of different devices so it could be an issue with Win 8 or with OEM drivers. For example, I have a T901 with the Nvidia graphics option and Fujitsu has not yet released their own version of the driver yet. At one point I re-installed the Nvidia driver supplied by Nvidia and the CPU temp went through the roof as soon as it was uninstalled. I was fortunate to be able to reboot and reload the driver before the CPU temp froze the machine. The temp returned to 45C-50C (too hot imho) after reinstalling the driver.
