Lifebook E8310 without bluetooth

Postby teto68 » Tue Nov 13, 2012 18:20

Hi all, I have a problem with this second-hand e8310.

This model seems not to be equipped of an internal bluetooth module (no evidence in windows devices applet, no device in bios - internals), so I purchased a bluetooth module supposed to be compatible (CA46920-0210), but now I'm unable to find the relative socket

The internal of the laptop in the under-keyboard area does not seem to have anything of similar... there is differences at motherboard level between models with / without stock bluetooth module or simply the relevant socket is located in a different part? I supposed the module was near the wlan and modem, but it could be in a more hidden area...

Thanks in advance for any help
Stefano

Wow... could not have been simpler than this, but near impossible to view without module, antenna and flat.

Very, very helpful Benziner... I was near to start a complete dismantling of the notebook to search the socket, so you saved me surely a full day of sacrifice and a very bad surprise at the end of the dismantling!
a couple of beers are waiting for you.

Thank you a lot, ciao
Stefano
