[V5535] How is your CPU temp ?

Postby evvivame » Thu Jul 14, 2011 21:27

Hi,
I have a lot of mobile PCs and unload their CPU temperature ( misured with Real Temp ) is circa 50°
The V5535, instead, run with 70°-75° unloaded and 80-85° loaded ( a bit high !! )

How is the CPU temp on your V5535?
Thanks
Luciana

You should replace heat transmitting paste(what is the English term for this?:) on CPU. Mine was like stone.

I have the same question. Guys, what is your CPU temp with v5535?
Please indicate your CPU temp both without load and with high load, what is your heat transmitting paste and how long ago did you replace it?
Also indicate the air temperature in your room. Especially interested in core2duo CPUs

The V5535 ( core2duo T5550) run with 70°-75° unloaded and 80-85° loaded
Air temperature = 27°
p.s. heat transmitting paste is the temperature sensor ???

No. It is put on the top CPU. Looks like sour cream in my case. It should be replaced every year. You'd better google it

One good example is Arctic cooling MX-3. Try to google for it.
Just go to any computer shop and tell that you have a problem with CPU temp.

Serg, now is clear what is !

Questions:

1) you have already used this trasmitting paste on your V5535
2) if yes, how many °C gain ?

Thanks !

1) you have already used this trasmitting paste on your V5535

I couldn't find anything really good in my town. As far as I understood the one I advised you is one of the best.
I used Alsil-3. Just don't buy anything in very small packages, where you don't see a producer or you suppose it is from China:)
You can even try liquid/molten metal (but it's quite difficult to use)

2) if yes, how many °C gain ?

I think about 10C, but I tried 2 times. I found that there is quite complicated cooling algorithm in notebook. So mine doesn't start the cooler until temp gets higher then 50. You might not see big difference in temp, but it will become quieter and more stable.
It is also interesting for me how much you can gain from a really good paste:)

Hope this helps

v5535 with CPU Core2Duo T7300 minimum temp. of :56 C, normal (now): 60 C and maximum 70 Celsius at room temp. around to 24 Celsius. When I made video compresion the maximum temp. was around 80 at the room temperature of 26-27.
The notebook is from 2009, work every day since than around 10-12 hours/day no problem at all except the f***** problem with 4 Gb RAM that don't recognize the bios.

Run win7 64bit ultimate and i want to try bios 1.10 to see if run the 4Gb ram. Worth it?

If you want to reduce temperature you can try to reduce CPU voltage. check for RMclock.
