T4020 Video Controller Drive

Postby kinney.brian » Thu May 19, 2011 9:43

I have desperately been trying to get the correct driver for my T4020 Lifebook and am unable to do so so far. I am running Win7 Ultimate and the people at Fujitsu tell me the driver isn't supported by the O/S. I also have 2 other items that need Troubleshooting on the PC, and am unable to get those fixed, as well. My Lifebook info is as follows if anyone knows anything much about this stuff (I'm ok at computers, but I'm no Gates:P)

Computer Type - ACPI x86-based PC (Mobile)
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition [Trial Versoin]* *wtf does this mean? I don't have the full O/S?
DirectX 11.0

Mobile Intel Pentium M740, 1744 MHz (13 x 133)
Motherboard - FUJITSU FJNB1A4
Motherboard Chipset - Mobile Internet Alviso-G i915GM [Trial Version]
Video Adapter - Standard VGA Adapter (7872KB)
3D Accelerator - Intel GMA 900

BIOS Version - 1.04

That's all I wrote down. If anyone needs anything else, feel free to let me know and I will provide it. I heard about a program through Windows where you can use XP on it (forget what it's called now). I downloaded it and can't find it now. I have tried calling and finding out, downloading from the Fujitsu website (that's how I found out it isn't supported through Win7 Ultimate. I've just tried it all, without taking it to a pro. Thanks!

Good news,

Intel recommends to run the driver XP driver for their chipset (version http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_ ... ldID=14497.

Myself I use the newer version (not recommended by Intel), which has the number and can be found at: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_ ... pe=Drivers.
