ServerView_RAID-5.02-04

Postby hulbs9nw » Mon Mar 28, 2011 15:00

I have installed the latest version of ServerView RAID, which installs and starts successfully. I can login via the web page and everything looks great. I am then running the following command to connect to my ESXi (TX 200 S6 with a RAID 5/6 512MB card) server:-

amCLI -e 21/0 add_server name=ESXiServer port=5989 username=root password=*

I then restart aurad and it bombs immediately. I have edited /etc/init.d/aurad to enable debugging of amDaemon which produces the following output:-

Cannot adopt OID in FSC-RAID-MIB: svrTrapConsistencyCheckContinuedOnLogicalDrive ::= { svrNotifications# 10845 }
Cannot adopt OID in FSC-RAID-MIB: svrNumberLogicalDrives ::= { svrLogicalDriveInfo 1 }

If I use an older version of ServerView RAID then it works OK. Any ideas?

This problem *COULD* be caused by calling a wrong library.

You might want to alter /etc/init.d/aurad for this line, in case it isn't already:

Code: Select all

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib:/usr/lib:$WORKDIR/bin

If you're running your SV-RAID on CentOS 5.5 (which by the documents is not supported [only 5.1-5.4 is]), you will have to wait for 5.2.6 (due very soon).

Thanks for the reply.

According to the download it supports RHEL 5.5 so I assumed that CentOS 5.5 would work, maybe I assumed incorrectly?

[Supported] Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 (x86)

Also it works on 5.1.1 so maybe its just a bug. The LD_LIBRARY_PATH is already as you have posted, maybe I will just wait for 5.2.6

Regards

Well, so there does exist at least an error in all this documentation. I was referring to http://manuals.ts.fujitsu.com/file/9208/sv-esxi-support-en.pdf, page 17. Sorry for the confusion I might have caused.
