[v5535] Problem with new 640gb HDD

Hi!
I am trying to install win xp sp2 to a new HDD samsung spinpoint m7e 640gb.
I tried both installation from scratch and copying xp image from old hdd with acronis 4 times. But xp does not boot. The bios can see the disk and I can format and partition it.
Did anybody tried to use 500gb or higher HDD in this notebook?
Did you manage to install any OS to it? Did you have any problems?
I know that datasheet says 250gb max, but it's a shame.

I managed to make it working by switching HDD to sata150 mode and now it works fine.
It seems that this notebook does not work well in sata300 mode.
