Scenic p320 with D1961 Mobo. PCI problem

Postby Chippychap » Thu Aug 12, 2010 15:36

Hi guys, recently bought a used p320 restored back to just OS, XP.
Whilst trying to get it installed with all my appliances I stupidly used a driver checker.
Between us we cocked-up the graphics driver making things jerky.
Hardware manager showed the yellow exclamation mark under "Display Adaptors-PCI Device".
"Driver not present code 28"
Like a buffoon I uninstalled the PCI device thinking that a reboot would install the previous driver.
Now it boots up to the W XP logo then nothing.
I found the Fujitsu options under boot options but the restore function was turned off.
There is a boot manager but I do not know what that does.
Have no OS disc or Drivers and Utilities disc.
I am mailing this to you via an old machine, one I have not broken yet. ;-)
So, I have access to the web and burning facilities.
Is there a fix?

I did fix the PC.
Reset the PCI in the MoBo.

I broke it myself by deleting the PCI device.
Don't like entering the BIOS but found a "Reconfigure" button.

http://uk.ts.fujitsu.com/rl/servicesupp ... /D1961.htm

Has a full list of BIOS setting, and alternatives.

I printed out the list so I could mark what I had altered to allow me to go back and fix it.

It seems a wonderful PC, just got to keep me hands off it.
