AMILO Xi 3670 upgrade to Windows 7 x64 problems

Postby poiuytrewq » Fri Apr 16, 2010 12:33

Hello everybody.

I made upgrade my notebook from VISTA x64 to Windows 7 x64. So, I have a problems. Perhaps some of you already know methods to solve these problems. If so, please, share one's experiences.

I made clear install. The process was done without any errors. Then I install drivers and programs from Fujitsu site. What I have now...

1. The device manager does not contain Bluetooth device.
2. The device manager contain unknown device: Intel(R) ICH9M-E LPC Interface Controller - 2917 with Hardware Ids: ACPI\DRV2009.
3. I can't switch WLan module on/off because the "Wireless Selection" window is appear (when I press Fn + F1) but radiobuttons are disabled on it. The WLan indicator is light constantly (device always on).

Other components and programs are working good.

If you have useful hints, please, answer me.

Thank you.

Have you updated to the latest BIOS? I had this problem in the past, and I think the solution was to update the BIOS to 1.0H.

Hi, tas Yea, shure. I have updated the BIOS to 1.0H. At this point I'd like to say that on previous version of BIOS I don't have this mistake (unknown device).

Have you tried running the Fujitu Desk Updater?

I did an upgrade to Win 7 with no problems, although I didn't do a clean install but instead the upgrade option.

Hi, DemonD.

No. I did not run Fujitsu Desk Updater. I prefer to know what are installing on my PC.

So... what I have now point by point...

1. I have Bluetooth :o After reinstalled drivers this device has been appear.
3. Yea, point 3 joking apart :) The Hotkey program (release for Windows 7 x64) from Fujitsu support site is not work for me. This is I understood after 5 days when I tried every possible means. I have installed release for Windows Vista x64 and utility has worked normally.

and now... point 2...

2. Here all is much worse. I addressed this question to support group of Fujitsu.

The problem I had was similar. I had clean-installed Windows 7/x64 instead of Vista/x64 that came with the machine, and then the Bluetooth device was missing, the Fn+F1 dialogue didn't work, etc. I found a solution to it, but I don't remember exactly what it was, since it was a few months ago. I thought it was a BIOS update, but I think I also tried resetting the BIOS to the defaults, disabling/enabling devices in the BIOS, booting Linux to see if it could find the devices, etc.

There is a solution :), I just can't remember what it is :(.

I realize this is a very old thread, but i got my hands on a second hand Xi3670, and after updating the bios to latest version i got this same problem.
" ACPI/DRV2009 " :!:

I searched thru alot of pages with no luck, noone seemed to know exactly what it was, and some said use the FTS desktop thingy :P

So in case someone else has this problem and don't want to go thru the headache of installing everything to find one driver here is the solution.

Get the "FTSDeskUpdate" from the support page for win7 x64, and install ONLY the "Utility program component" , It's not under drivers i know, but it works.
