Fn +F1 wireless keys not working

Postby WACKER » Thu Jan 07, 2010 22:12

Hi all,

My sisters laptop (Amilo li-2727) Fn + F1 keys to switch on the wireless won't work anymore nor will any of her USB ports? (4)
I'm doing phone support so I don't have any physical access to the laptop. In device manager the network adapter is recognized (Atheros ar5007) & its enabled in the BIOS. Anyone have any ideas?

I will try the script thingy on one of the other posts to get the wireless working (going to be a hassle talking her through that), USB suggestions please, thanks.

Hope this is still pertinent,

Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Set oExec = WshShell.Exec("C:\Program Files\Launch Manager\WisWBSet.exe")
do while WshShell.AppActivate("Wireless Status Option")=False
WScript.Sleep 100
loop
WScript.Sleep 100
WshShell.sendkeys("{TAB}{TAB}{LEFT}~")
