Fujitsu Siemens Xi 3650 is not future secure.

Postby Dekane » Mon Oct 26, 2009 18:20

Hi all..

I have bought a FS Xi 3650 which have Windows Vista home premium preinstalled on it.
But as many of us know, Vista is not that good. So I changed to Windows 7 Home Premium.

But none of the hardware seems to work with Windows 7, i looked for drivers but got dissapointed when i found out the Fujitsu Siemens not really do much about it (?) I looked under Windows XP and found nothing really usefull there. So I guess it is gonna be the same with windows 7 :| since i have not seen any information that says otherwise.

I have installed pretty much all new drivers from vista under win 7, it works allright so far. But still a lousy service.. next time im gonna buy a asus computer instead.. they allways make drivers for their computers.

What u gonna do about it Fujitsu Siemens :?

Probably sweet **

This is a users forum. I doubt if anyone from Fujitsu will bother to read this.
Use anti virus, backup your data, use google.
POST BACK EVEN IF THE HELP DOESN'T HELP.

A Thank You would be nice if I have helped.

It doesn't really matter if they read it or not, but some people will before they actually buy something from Fujitsu.. :?

What drivers are you having a problem with as most of mine installed with the default Win 7 drivers and are working perfectly fine.

The Windows Vista drivers installed fine for the ones which did not install (can't remember which ones but VGA was one of them).

I was using XP on the machine before Windows 7 came out but to get it to work you will need to turn off the Hybrid graphics in BIOS, use nLite to build the SATA controller drivers directly into the XP CD and search the net for XP drivers. Most of the Vista drivers on the FSC web site also have an XP version of the driver in the package but the ones which do not will need to be searched for (and I never found an XP driver for the wireless USB)

Well most of the drivers that is updated for Vista is working fine with Windows 7, except the fan is not working .. atleast not when u activate it on the panel. Which is a problem when im gaming for longer periods.

But i dont understand Fujitsu idea with not updating their drivers for windows 7, when they actually recommend it and offers a upgrade.
Why cut off their customers like that. I am sure that im not gonna buy anything from Fujitsu again if they not gonna upgrade the drivers. :?:

most of the drivers works, but do not work 100% with windows 7... :?

Sorry for my late Post. ANd sorry for my Bad english.

i get the Driver form the normal Fujitsu-Driver Donwload Page. http://de.fujitsu.com/support/downloads.html - and fill in "Xi 3670". Klick "Windows 7 64x" an the driver-list comes. Use the Hybrid Driver. BUT ONLY FOR A 64x SYSTEM!!! HYBRID MODE MUST BE ENABLED IN THE BIOS!!!! Works perfect on my Xi 3650 because the GT 130M in the Xi 3670 is similar to the 9600M GT in the Xi 3650.And Nvidia use also the same Driver for both Cards. The is no big Hardware-diverece between the XI 3650 and the Xi 3670 so the other Drivers maybe work to. I will test it....

Fujitsu had said to me that the Amilo 3000 Series has the priority for Windows 7 drivers. I think drivers will be come in the next Year.
I hope I could help.

Sorry but i havent seen that: there is an Driver for WIndows 7 32x available. :D To see the driver you must tick out the first option "Show only supported operating systems". Than klick Windows 7 and there is the driver. But i think its the same driver like the 64x Version. It have the same size. :?
