bluetooth

Postby jmm666 » Fri Sep 25, 2009 9:58

hi, does anyone know of a bluetooth driver other than toshiba that would work for the built-in device on an esprimo u9200?

oh gee thanks myxal, hadnt even noticed vista had its own! it's kind of clumsy (why no connect/disconnect button like toshiba's?), but works fine... my question arose because i was offered a free upgrade to w7, and the upgrade advisor tells me there would be a problem with old toshiba's driver - as fsc doesnt offer any update on their site and toshiba is not ready to sell their newer ones (until early next year i hear), installing w7 would entail sacrificing bt function... well, w7 may even have an improved driver!...
thanks again!

damn dude, that sucks!

however, i installed the toshiba one here on this site and my s9 works, but not fully functional. it's not even detected as motorola s9 but some random audio device. i'm still waiting for any updates regarding win7 or the driver itself. and don't know why the broadcom software doesn't work.

Have you tried a driver for e.g U9215?
I use a driver for my 9200 with version "v60005FSC_20080328" and it works great.
The driver that came with the computer crashed and barely worked.
Sorry I cant recall were I found it, but it was in FSC drivers in some model.
The newest version for U9215 is v63001FSC_20081226 and I would not be suprised if it works.
Just make a restore point and test !

Please come back with comments if it is ok.

I saw that U9215 had a LiteOn, sorry.

I used this Toshiba version v63001FSC_20081226 from u9215 section under windows vista, as windows 7 has no bt drivers. I installed it on my u9200 with win7 and works great!
