Installing new case fan

Postby kjdean » Wed Jan 28, 2009 10:18

Hello. I installed a new case fan today and connected it direct to the fan connection of my " bequiet" power supply. It worked fine but when I turn off the PC then the fan does not stop but keeps spinning. Is that normal or does the fan eventually stop spinning?

the fan should eventually stop normally they stop quite quickly, if it doesn't stop, it would be quite surprising because that would mean that your power supply is pulling power from the mains just to keep powering the Fan, even when the system is off. If this happens i recommend searching google. As i'm not too sure

Hello. Well I found the answer in the handbook. Apparently the fan stops after 3 minutes so that all the warm air is removed.Called ECASO system. Unfortunately I did not wait long enough. I had sent an Email to the manufacture-"bequiet"-and they wrote back the reply that my power supply was faulty and that I should send it back to them. What a joke is the support for this company!!!!!
