Raid utility amilo xi 3670

Postby tomd » Fri Nov 11, 2016 9:25

Dear

I had to reinstall my amilo xi 3670 notebook.
Didn't have the initial cd anymore, so I've downloaded all needed software from this site.

Everything works well, but I'm missing one utility that I can't find over here:
http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/IndexDownload.asp?lng=NL

I used to have a raid utility which indicated me for instance after an unexpected shutdown, how much percentage of the disks has been replicated.

Can anyone indicate me where I can find it?

Best regards

Tom

Hi Tom,

If you have installed the Intel SATA/RAID driver for you laptop, it should include "Intel Matrix Storage Utility" software.

Hi Tom :)

When I try to install that driver, I get the remark that the version 13.2.0.1022 is already been installed and that I try to overwrite it with the older version 8.9.0.1023.

So I think the driver is fine (except if my computer is mixing up two things),
but I don't find anywhere that utility.

Best regards

Tom

If you haven't installed the Intel SATA/RAID driver yourself, it's possible Windows just installed the driver automatically, in which case the utility software may not be included. That would also explain why you have a version number for which I can't find a source.

I always recommend taking the driver package from the Fujitsu download page because they have been tested and certified to work as expected. This also means you may have to remove a more recent version such as the one already installed on your system.

edit: when installed it's possible for the matrix storage tray icon to only show itself when you need it which is why you wouldn't see it in your systray however you should be able to find some Intel Matrix Storage links in the control panel or start menu.

Thx Tom

Installing the older driver did the job!
Pretty weird situation you have to uninstall a newer/better driver just to get the GUI.

Best regards

Tom
