AMILO PI 3560 - Hardware-Change of USB Ports

Postby attatroll » Sat Dec 20, 2014 16:51

Hello,

I do have an AMILO PI 3560. The USB ports are physically damaged so that I ordered a new USB-Port-Board. Some time ago I was able to change the keyboard, but I´m not able to change the USB ports now. I tried to open all screws I´ve seen - but I was not able to see how I can change the USB ports.

Can you give me please a hint how to open the laptop on that side so that I can change the USB port board?

Thank you very much,
Stefan

Do you mean the mainboard with USB-Port-Board?

No, not the mainboard itself. What I mean is the USB-circuit-board (with the two USB-ports on it).

It looks like the one attached.

I read your post with interest, as I need to replace the USB ports on my daughters PI-3560. Please could I ask for the part number of the USB board as I have been unable to track it down on the web?

So far, I've managed to remove the screws and separate the top panel from the laptop, but decided not to progress further until I had located the part.

This is 1HYNZZZ002A or 3HEF7UB0010 (depends if you want to use original spare part or a substitute).

BUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL: I´m not sure if this is the correct part. I found it using Google and not by asking a real expert.

I´d be very happy if you can inform me after your repair how you (dis)assembled it. Thank you.

Many thanks. I'll check out those part numbers.

I followed the disasemby instructions on this You Tube [/url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gCbwxk51xo video. Whilst it is not a PI-3560 (and not in English!), it is close enough and helped me open the laptop.

Windows XP was unable to detect your keyboard.
Press F1 to retry or F12 to abort.
