Faulty Backlight?

Postby chrish16 » Thu Apr 25, 2013 9:48

Hi

I have a Amilo Li 3910 for a client. The screen backlight lights up for a second then goes off. I've tried replacing the inverter but it is still the same.
If the backlight is lighting even for a second, makes me think the cable is intact.
The last thing I would like is a faulty backlight in the screen, so a new screen.

What are you thoughts?

Agree possible faulty panel when the lcd cable is at fault you would see flickering or vertical stripe.
If you wanted to make sure the part number for lcd cable is QUT:1HYNZZZ0008

Hi
where can I buy the LCD cable from and how much? I'm located in the UK.
There isn't any flickering or lines, purely the back light fades off and you can see the picture very dim.
Instead of wasting money and time with the cable I was thinking its more likely the screen and as you agree I might just buy the screen.

Try EAF spares on 01925251608 i know the lcd cable is available through amazon if you google that part but as you say we also thinks its screen failure. The screen is little harder to determine what came on that unit a serial number underneath may help when you call EAF
