Battery draining when powered off

Postby Tablet_Joe » Thu Aug 04, 2022 21:38

When shutdown, after a few days, I have to connect the power supply to start the tablet.

This does not happen with my laptops.

I have attempted to disable all power uses:
Including fast start
Wake timers
Wake on lan
Etc...

Suggestions?

Hello Joe and thank you for contacting Fujitsu Technical Support.

Battery drain on powered off system is mostly caused by the USB and other devices settings that can be configured from inside the BIOS. Since I'm not sure what exact device you have (tablet or laptop? model name?) I can't provide you the exact BIOS configuration to minimize battery drain.
The general options possible to find in many different systems are:
BIOS -> Advanced -> Misc. Configuration -> Anytime USB charge: Disable
BIOS -> Advanced -> Misc. Configuration -> Charge on Power Off: Disable

Disabling USB charging function will prevent battery drain when you leave USB devices connected to the system.

Best regards

Thank you for your response.

The particular settings for USB power are not available on this tablet.

Hello.
The Stylistic Q736 and Q775 models do exactly the same thing. After several days without using the tablet, the battery runs out.
I currently own a Stylistic Q736 with Windows 10 PRO.
Can you advise me a configuration so that the battery does not run out?
All the best.

Hello.
The Q736 model with Windows 10 PRO also does not have the options you mention in the BIOS.
The BIOS version is 1.23 dated 05/13/2022 SECURE BIOS.
All the best.

Hello J.Serna,

Please provide the following information:

- serial number(s) of the affected device(s)
- how long the device has been turned off and how much the battery level (in %) has decreased during this time
- are any external devices permanently connected to the system? If yes, please specify what kind of peripherals they are.
