Poor speaker quality Stylistic R726

Postby spcs » Mon May 23, 2016 20:33

I have recently bought a Stylistic R726 te replace my Surface Pro 2.
The overall quality of the device looks great but what really bothers me is the extremely bad sound quality coming out of the build-in speakers.
Could this be a bad device, or are these devices really having such a bad integrated sound system.
When connecting to an external speaker set, the sound quality is ok.
Is there any on who can share his experience with this... I wonder if servicing this device could help.

Hello and thank you for your contact!

Successful service depends on the root cause of your issue. You may be simply lacking the correct sound card drivers (link at the end) or there may be some kind of mechanical damage to speakers or even some other reason.

To investigate what can be wrong, please contact your local Service Desk via our webpage or phone.
It may be required to run some diagnostics software or even record a sound sample.

You can also go ahead and try to update R726 with the following audio drivers:
Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.8004 (18/06/2018):
https://support.ts.fujitsu.com/IndexDow ... 24404A8D94

In addition, please look for the "DTS" application or similar application that makes the sound richer and louder (although it may not be installed on your machine).
If the above will not help, please contact your local Service Desk.

Best regards,
