Hi guys,I have a Q550, it is the latest in a long and big collection of Fujitsu equipment I have.

To cut a long story short, I needed to do a complete format and re-install as the 30GB SSD was full but couldn't make room (what the heck does windows install to fill up this amount?). As I couldn't find my discs :( I bought a replacement set from Fujitsu. The problem I have is the discs sent aren't clear. I struggled but managed to restore windows, however there is no drivers discs in the replacement set, so I downloaded them ALL, I cannot see where the download is to get fingerprint software from, also the drop tab for the other menu with the Earth background The Infinity Lounge is missing.

I am somewhat disappointed with replacement discs as I expected the tablet to have been restored back to out of the box status, which is not the case :(

I can't get it to connect using my 3G card, it keeps trying then says disconnected, the sim works fine in my Samsung P1000.
Anyone can tell me if it is totally possible to get it to restore as out of the box status?
How to get the fingerprint software?
How to get the missing program back, The Infinity Lounge back?

Is it possible someone can do a Full virgin image backup and upload it, so I can do a real factory restore?

You may have to run deskupdate from here : http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/Download
It also a good idea to seach for this: Clickme (optmizer for Q550) which speeds it up

The sim card needs to be inserted the right way up. the pic is misleading on the device indicator is an Arrow (not silver strip!!!)

it clicks in and its shiny label side down (corner on pic)
"NO UMTS" device were released so make sure you have the UMTS otherwise you have the hole without the gubbins behind it. if you have a serial number i will check -Serial number prefix: DSCH

The software to use the Fingerprint Sensor of the STYLISTIC Q550 is now "Softex OmniPass SmartAccess+". The pre-installation image on the Solid State Drive of the system contains "OmniPass SmartAccess+" and a corresponding link to the installation files of this Software can be found on the Windows Desktop and/or Windows Start menu.*NO LONGER THERE IF YOU INSTALLED - Alternatively, "Softex OmniPass Security Software" can be found on the "Drivers & Utilities" medium for the STYLISTIC Q550 ("Manual installation"), which should always be ordered with the system. :roll:
I do not understand you not receiving a full set (no drivers cd) Did you order online here https://ts.fujitsu.com/sw-shop/default.aspx if so you should have the full on drivers and recovery disks if not thats where you went wrong.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I already ran the click me, I also downloaded 'every' driver on there and updated each one, including bios updates. I have also ran the desk update.

The sim card is inserted correctly, the network provider O2 (UK O2 Network) shows up, which is correct, but simply doesn't connect. If the sim is removed then is says so.

I ordered a recovery/restore set of discs, none are labelled as drivers. The discs in the pack that were sent to me are:

1, RDVDW7P00M06 - Used this one to re-install
2, RDVDW7PX64M07 - this one doesn't work on my system, I assume its for a 64 bit system.
3, RDVD_OFF10STAR_MNO02
4, RDVD_OFF10STAR_MMA02
5, RDVD_OFF10STAR_MSE02
6, RDVD_OFF10STAR_MI02
7, RDVD_OFF10STAR_MEM02

Other than the RDVDW7P00M06 disc, I didn't install the last 6 of discs as I want space left on the 30GB which was the purpose of the format.

On the delivery box it says: 10601395320 RDVDW7PEO32_64MULTI/S26361 - F2010 - L111 450133918500010.
PRODUCT NUMBER S26361-F2010-L111

Any idea's?


How is one supposed to know which discs they are sending out as the order for recovery/restore discs should cover all needed data discs, no?

Your serial indicates shipping from factory with Win7 Pro32 MAIN+Office2010s and does have the UMTS GOBI 3000
When you have the "Drivers and Utilities"-DVD i send you
- Please execute "start.exe" from root.
- Select "Manual installation".
- Select "Product: STYLISTIC Q550".
- Select "Category: All...".
- Select "Operating system: Windows 7".
- Click on "Search".
- "Fujitsu Infinity Lounge" can be found under "Specific system utilities - Windows 7".

Due to licence reasons you will find the "Fujitsu Infinity Lounge" is not available for download.
pm me your address i will send you the driver cd for this device

Sabrex your a STAR :), I received the disc just now, thank you :). I now have infinity and will play with it. I also scanned my fingerprint in, and now I have to work out how to log in on start up using fingerprint instead of a password.

Hi

Sorry to jump in on this post, but I have a very similar issue to the OP.

I have win 7 pro installed and have downloaded all the drivers and software from the driver/download section. I was going to order the replacement disks, but my understanding is that they only contain drivers and win 7 restore disks. Don't know if this is correct?

I appreciate this is an old thread, however I hope with the experience you guys have had, you may be able to help get me up and running with 3G on my Q550.

If you need more info, please ask I will do my best to help you help me!
