Connect 2 monitors to a Lifebook u7510

Postby barryb0001 » Thu Jan 19, 2023 15:28

Hello,

I want to connect 2 monitors to my Lifebook. The monitors have HDMI and VGA inputs. No daisy-chaining.
I think that my notebook can connect via VGA, thunderbolt and HDMI (one of each), although I can't to HDMI and thunderbolt together according to the spec. I have read that VGA reduces the quality of the picture.
So can I have one outgoing thunderbolt connection to both monitors (HDMI) with this?

thanks,
Barry

Hello :)
Regarding the VCOM USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter Support MST, we regret to inform you that we cannot recommend any untested solutions for using this adapter with Lifebook U7510. While we understand that this adapter may seem like a viable option, we cannot guarantee its compatibility or performance with the Lifebook.
We would like to suggest an alternative solution that has been tested and proven to work. The adapter S26391-F6058-L201 (USB TYPE-C TO DP ADAPTER) has been tested and has been proven to be a reliable solution for dual-external displays. There is also a HDMI version: S26391-F6058-L130 (USB-C TO HDMI2.0 ADAPTER).
With the above adapters you can connect to built-in HDMI/DP and HDMI/DP via USB-C port in your Lifebook. We recommend that you use this adapter instead.

Kind regards,

Are the displays going black? Only one stays black "no display" - the hdmi one
Can you see image on at least one of them? when both are connected Display Port is the priority. If I disconnect the Display Port, hdmi is working.
What are the resolutions being used? resolution doesn't matter here.

Is the integrated LCD working properly? Yes

Hello,

Thank you for the information.
Could you please test it by connecting a display to the VGA port plus one of the other 2, either HDMI or DP, but not both at the same time ?

This way it's working fine.
