LIFEBOOK E746 - Backlight keyboard

Hi everyone,

I have problem with Backlight keyboard on my LIFEBOOK E746.

I install clean version of Windows 10 Pro and after that backlight on keyboard can't turn on any more. Shortcut FN+F2 doesn't work.

I tried to find solution online but no luck.

I install last BIOS version v1.39, but that didn't help, also I install DeskUpdate aplication and it shows that all drivers are updated, also didn't help.

Is there some missing driver that I failed to find or something like that, please help.

Please check if the drivers for chipset and FUJ02E3 are at the newest version:

Hello!

Please run the application "Function Manager" and check if the keyboard backlight can be switched there.

If not, you may also check another application -> "Windows mobility center"
Does the keyboard backlight work when you enter BIOS before any operating system is loaded?

Hello,

Neither of the above applications have options to turn on backlight, also it's not possible to turn on backlight in BIOS.

One more thing, keyboard slightly bright all the time, barely visible, and combination Fn+F2 doesn't affect on that.

Hello!

After examining the SystemScan thoroughly, we have discovered that some of the drivers are not up to date. Please proceed to install them from the FTS site and re-test, please remind the customer that a system restart should be performed after each installation is done.

Hello!

If after a clean installation of the OS, using the recovery partition along with the installation of all required drivers - either manually or with the DeskUpdate tool - hence, the problem might have escalated to an HW issue.

If the above is true, we recommend you to take the unit to a close Service Partner or to log a call throughout the Service Desk for possible part replacement.
