Lifebook U7310 - Slow with WQHD/1440p

Postby RobertP » Wed Oct 27, 2021 6:59

Hi,

I am using a Lifebook U7310 with a Type C Port Replicator. Connected to the replicator's DisplayPort is a WQHD monitor with 2560x1440 resolution.

Connecting this monitor slows the notebook down significantly, the fan is running all the time, and handling simple office tasks with MS Outlook or MS Word is noticeable slower with lots of lags and delays. It is worst when I have both the external and internal display active. When enabling only the external it is better, and when I work only on the internal it works fine as it should.

So it seems that the notebook has difficulties handling the higher resolution.

Does anyone have an idea how I could improve this? Is this maybe a software/driver thing? Or do I maybe need a more capable, external graphics adapter?

Thanks for your support!

Regards, Robert
