A544 bios update issues - now resolved

Hi,

I have been attempting to update the bios on my Lifebook A544 - without success!

Current installed bios is version 1.11 - there are several updated bios available from Fujitsu but none of them will flash. Error code is 'ERROR 216 - Failed to read BIOS from ROM! Status = 1501.'

I understand the updated bios is critical on this model, due to battery overheating & non-charging issues. Bios is Phoenix - I've tried searching for some way of updating via USB but cannot find a suitable loader program.

Can any of you help?

Problem now resolved.

Running Windows 10 64bit. Bios version 1.11 will only update using the admin pack - to version 1.13. launch the admin pack from within Windows & ignore the warning messages. Computer will shutdown & install BIOS version 1.13.
After reboot, the BIOS update launcher that windows presents will now work & update the BIOS to the current version (1.24)
