Fujitsu Secure Disk Protocol: aka Full-Disk Encryption [FDE]; Self-Encrypting Drives [SED]; Trusted Machine Protocol et al.

I have learned that a Fujitsu T4220 SED, which will not even boot until the key is entered, can be booted when installed in a Fujitsu T731 which already has the same key entered. Astonishing! I was very very lucky - and only discovered this by chance.
Here is my question: Can a Fujitsu SED be read on any other Trusted Machines?
Marcus: May be we please have an Encrypted Disk Thread. I am prepared to answer questions about the process/procedure of implementing SED on the Fujitsu Notebooks that have it.
