Lifebook A555/G doesn't boot

Hello,

I own the above mentioned model.

What happened is as follows:

1- I was going to put some movie on , it was slow responding which then I force shut down through the power button.

2- I tried to power it on again, and it was slow booting and responding,
So I Re-force shutting down

3- This time trying to power it on, it was gone and not giving any indication to power on nor booting.

Current condition:
Not powering on, not booting , bricked down.

Could anyone suggest what to do in this case?

Hello Jo,

try the following steps:
- Remove ac adapter and battery
- Press the power button a view seconds.
- Insert battery again and connect ac adapter
- Turn on the device again

What happens now?

So there is not any sign that the notebook has turned on, no power led, no status led blinking?
Can you ensure that the ac adapter is working? Because even if the devie does not boot correctly there should be any led blinking.

Nothing is turning on nor any led .

I have checked the adapter with a voltmeter and it's working properly.

For me it seems that either the mainboard or the power button board is defective. I recommend to contact a service partner regarding a repair.

I've reached that there is a problem in the bios and need the bios version and software

Could anyone one upload it?

Hi, you can get either the admin pack (DOS) or Windows versions of UEFI firmware referred to as BIOS from support.ts.fujitsu.com/IndexDownload.asp

The problem is, you still need to be able to boot to DOS using the admin kit even if you cannot access windows. From what I have read so far in this thread, it seems highly unlikely you can.

Additionally, only ever use firmware files straight from the manufacturer's official sources. You should never flash something shared as it may have been modified or corrupted. Yes there are genuinely helpful people around but on the flipside...

You can download the BIOS on the driver website

But as you reported that the device cannot be turned on (not even to the BIOS), it won't be possible to flash the BIOS.
