E756 HDMI output

Postby harptan » Thu Mar 02, 2017 18:07

E756 Windows 7 Pro. Connecting a Samsung 6500 series TV using HDMI. All is well until I try watching a programme I have purchased from the BBC Store, after 10 or 15 seconds the tv picture was lost and the tv displayed a message that no cable was connected ie it was not receiving a signal. I then tried a YouTube video with the same result. The laptop continues displaying the programme ok. It is the same with Firefox and Internet Explorer. To get the tv picture back all I need to do is minimize the browser. Can anyone please help.

Which graphic driver version is currently installed on your device?
Try to uninstall the current one and install the following version from the driver website

Intel(R) Display Driver 64bit Edition
21.20.16.4574 (20/02/2017)

Updated driver as suggested but same problem. I found that I only needed to go to the BBC Store website and after a short time the TV went blank, close the tab and display came back. I thought I would do what should have been my first move and tried another HDMI lead and everything OK. So a faulty lead, but what a strange way to be failing.
