UH572 - Updated to Windows 10 now webcam faulty

Postby dom134 » Tue Oct 06, 2015 8:58

I recently updated my UH572 to Windows 10 Home. I did not test the webcam there and then, but a few days later, when using Skype, the webcam still activates, but gives a very faint picture with an extremely blue hue to it. This is also the same when using the Windows camera app.

The laptop is running 64-bit Windows 10 Home and the BIOS was updated prior to the upgrade. On Device Manager I have tried uninstalling and updating the driver, but to no avail.

Is anyone else having these issues?

Thanks

Just tried a linux 'live cd', which also showed the same problem. This looks like it might be a hardware issue...

Moderators, if you want to delete this thread, feel free, unless anyone has a link to repairing a UH572 webcam!

Thank you

Hi - I''ve just hit exactly the same problem upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on the UH572 ! It is really annoying. The output from the webcam is just a blue haze with a head silhouette.
Went to Devices and did update driver from Internet and that seemed to pick up a newer driver from the camera manufacturer but still no joy.
I am going to do a clean install of Windows 10 on a new SSD HD that I am going replace the WD HDD with and see what happens. Don't expect it will make a difference.
Surely the camera is not bust - it must be a driver issue.

Hi, everyone! dom134, thank you for starting this thread, as I have just the same issue, too: blue/white noise instead of an image when using laptop's (Fujitsu UH572) web-camera after Windows 10 update.
Not any driver modifications did help (and there's no new driver on manufacturer's site). Windows 10 (MS) support also could not help. I also think, it's a driver issue and we should wait/ask for the new driver (for FJ camera for Win 10).
But I use web-camera for work (video conferences), that's why it's extremely important for me - so today I opened a support ticket (Russia; the support is divided by countries, e. g.: http://esupport.shopfujitsu.com/support/customerSupportEmailForm.jsp). I hope to get some answers, soon. I will write here with any news, if needed.

Ferdinand, it's a pity, but no, I haven't solved this even after very long discussion in writing (and trying different drivers) with Fujitsu Support.

Tom_A, thank you for your suggestion, but unfortunately even with this driver I still have the same blue haze...

Hello evgeny,
i know from a similar case where the following driver fixed the problem. You can try it.

ftp://fe_i2ls:sl2i@ftp.ts.fujitsu.com/d ... driver.zip

The link is still valid, i just tried it. Check if it is possible if you copy the link to another browser. Or do you mean that you installed the driver but there was no change?

I'm getting "waiting for ftp.ts.fujitsu.com" followed by timeout error. The server doesn't seem to respond to the download request.

Do you have the possibilities to use another device for downloading the file? I check the link again and also from another device/connection and it is working fine.

Thanks for your help, but sorry, the link does not work in any browser for me and even on my phone. Maybe it's blocked in my country (I even tried several internet providers).
Besides I have the camera from Sunplus and this seems to be Realtek driver.
