Lifebook AH530 serial YL9Q Touchpad

Postby johndoy » Wed Jul 22, 2015 14:05

I have a problem with the left hand button under the touchpad. It appears to have become detached from whatever holds it in place, it is very loose and slides under the casing.

The only reference I have found indicates that repairing this would mean a new motherboard.

Other than that the laptop works fine but one of its users finds a mouse hard to operate and mush prefers the touchpad and the buttons.

Is the comment about the motherboard correct or is there another solution.

Many thanks Sabrex. I eventually, this weekend, decided to take the laptop to bits and discovered the problem that the button had become detached from the upper assembly. I have now glued it back on and it is working now. This seems to be a common problem with this model and second hand upper assemblies all appear to have been repaired or have the fault.
