LH532: Battery getting discharged even when switched off

Hello All!
It is not even 12 months and this is the 2nd defect in my LH 532! The battery gets drained even when the laptop is switched off.
I have kept a log (given below) while monitoring this strange characteristic of a Li-ion battery.

Shutting down at 10:30 pm on 24-05 with 96% battery. Started at 4:25pm on 25-05 with 80% battery.
Shutting down at 4:38pm with 75% battery. Started at 7:10pm on 25-05 with 71% battery.
Shutting down at 8:11pm with 60% battery. Started at 11:50pm on 25-05 with 51% battery.
Shutting down at 12:34am on 25-05 with 36% battery. Started at 12:38pm on 25-05 with 27% battery.
Shutting down at 12:51pm on 25-05 with 23% battery. Could not start on 29-05 on battery (0% charge).

If any one has faced a similar problem, please suggest a solution.

Turn usb anytime off in the bios. Normal dissipation of charge would be 20-30% overnight (this is by design of how batteries work)
There is also a chip inside that take a small trickle of power.
