[T725] EC FW update results in hard brick.

Postby sintaxes » Wed Oct 06, 2021 14:54

I have another T725 that had a known good bios, so I used a ch341a and flashed the bricked one over with it's. The chips I flashed were W25Q32FVSIQ, and W25Q64FVSIQ . Still just a flash from the batt lights when going from no power source to either battery or power supply.
I inquired with a local smd repair specialist and he thought that it might be the EC chip. Unfortunately there is not one boardview for this motherboard I have found to date and not much information otherwise. Does anyone know where the EC chip is located or its chip name?

Hi there,

this is the feedback according to our team:
"We have no more boardview or layout for this notebook model.
Nevertheless, it would be company confidential."

Hope this could be helpful.

Best regards,

Too bad it's still kept confidential... I'm sure these are all far out of warrantee by this time. Maybe a poke to the seniors at Fujitsu to let them release the files...
I'm going to keep my brick around in case I can figure it out myself in spare time, or if Fujitsu changes their mind on this model.
Thank you for the clarification as to why I can't find anything out there.
