[M9400] Missing Bluetooth Device

Postby omid020 » Fri Apr 01, 2011 11:26

I`m using Windows XP SP3. I had installed laptop Bluetooth device successfully and it was working correctly. Today my OS hanged up and I forced to turn off notebook with using power botton placed on device.
After turning on and running windows again, the Bluetooth LED is off and there is no Bluetooth device in Bluetooth option in control panel.
Also when I press Wireless control botton no action occurs!
I can`t find any Bluetooth driver in "Drivers & Utilities" DVD ; How can I recover the internal Bluetooth device?

Goto: http://uk.ts.fujitsu.com/support/downloads.htmlDownload
Wireless Control Utility Version: 1.0.1.6
Bluetooth Utility Version: 5.1.0.0.6F

you could try loading bios defaults. when you switch on the machine tapF2 or Delete key to enter bios setup , goto exit menu and load bios defaults or load optimized defaults. Then save and exit see if your bluetooth and wireless are back up and running in windows

Thanks for your reply.
I tried it too, Of course I forced to disable AHCI again because when AHCI is enabled, Windows OS doesn`t load.
Still I can`t turn on wireless options.
I know if I reinstall Windows XP this issue will solve but I want to solve it without reinstalling Windows OS.

what about system restore to an earlier time

Click Start.
Click Help and Support.
Type system restore in the Search box, and then press ENTER

No, system restore may remove some of earlier important wares and updates.
Here there is another thread about this problem,
so I hope to find a better solution.

possibly try removing in device manager if it is listed then scan for hardware changes may re-install itself. If its not listed in device manager and there are no yellow esclamation marks in Device manager then the computer doesnot see the attached. possibly hardware fail. Is the wireless componant listed under network adapters.
theres system filecheck Run box on the Start Menu and type in: sfc /scannow
this is the latest bios released for this machine make sure you are on this bios ESPRIMO M9400 Version: 1.06 use the iso image if it is not. to check goto system information and have a look. I think if "OS hanged" the event logs might have some info for when that happened and maybe point you in the correct direction.

thats a completely different machine and there is no solution on that thread.
I hope you are able to find a solution then without loosing your data. I recommend you back up your data on a monthly/weekly basis.
