Esprimo Mobile V6545 and TV watching troubles

Good day,

I bought an Esprimo Mobile V6545 laptop last year. I tried to connect it to my Sony Trinitron TV. It's a classical TV with cathodic tube, not a LCD TV. I used a cable S-video to Scart. So, the laptop has a S-video port and the TV a Scart port. The movie played on TV, but only white-black, no colours and no sound too.

What could I do?

The laptop also has another blue port at it's back, with holes, female-type port. Is it VGA? What use is that port for? Could it be used for TV?

The common issue with TV-Out is: Only black and white picture on the TV screen!

The most common root causes are:

- In the Video driver the TV-format is set to NTSC and the TV only supports PAL.
- The notebook has SVHS – Out and the TV only supports VHS – In.
- The TV settings could only be set to VHS and not to SVHS.
- Wrong cable selection.

The blue VGA port is not used for connection to TV's more into desktop monitors or projectors.

To get audio you need one of these Mini Jack 3.5mm Male to 2x RCA Phono Audio Lead (3M) : which takes the audio from your headphone jack port.
Which goes into SCART Phono/S-VHS Adaptor
