V5535 new optical drive

I`m planing to change my V5535 optical drive.I have tried to upgrade the fw and clean the optics as well but the drive is not reading any discs.My question is that if I buy a new optical drive any model will fit into the laptop with the same interfece?or just this tsst-l632h.Because I dont really want the same brand....

I have used my U9200 with an HL-ST drive from an old Thinkpad (after removing the rails) - the Esprimo laptop had no problem with it. You do well to ask beforehand, as it seems that Toshiba restricts what the user can put in the bay.
