[u9200] mic is too low

I installed windows 7 and all the drivers are installed, according to Device Manager. But when I use voice chat in WLM or Skype the mic is too low, even if I increased the db in mic properties. What gives?

Not sure about win7 drivers, but in ALSA "Mic" refers to the microphone plugged into the jack. The builtin microphone is labeled "Front Mic". Also check which of those two is selected as capture source. The "Digital" channel seems to control the volume of whichever capture source is selected.
