Esprimo U9200 SDHC memory card

Postby geb » Fri Apr 17, 2009 13:30

Bonjour,
I wanted to buy an SDHC memory card of 4 Gb for my notebook. The vendor told me the SDHC (HC is for "high capacity", that means above 2 Gb) does not work on all equipment and many customers bring their card back.
I asked Fujitsu support on the net. They said me to search in the the specifications.
I checked,and there is no information other than " Interface : . . . SD card, . . ."

Does any body use or tried to use an SDHC mem. card on this notebook ?
Post Scriptum: some SD cards 4Gb and over are called "SDPRO" or something like that. Do you know if they are accepted also ?
Thanks.

It's ok to use SDHC in 9200. I have no problem with my sandisk 4GB SDHC.

8 GB and 16 GB both (Transcend SDHC Class 6) work fine with my u9200.

It can even boot from them.

Bonsoir, that's me again.
Thank you anor and McT for your quick answer. After my question, I went on the net to learn more about SDHC and it seems that it's use in a PC is depending upon a driver wich is installed or not in the OS.
I use Windows XP Pro and not Vista on my Esprimo U9200.
Which OS do you use ?
Good night.

So do I.
But said SDHC-cards do work as well via USB-adapter on my v5535 with Vista Business installed.

I do not agree to that, since I can boot Ubuntu Linux from the SD-card itself. Which IMHO means that the esprimo recognizes the card before even one bit of an OS is running.
