V5535 Ram upgrade

I Have no problem installing the 1G ram upgrade but can't get laptop to boot up, it just stalls and when I go into F2 I can't find enything to point me in the right direction. Can anybody help I'm not very PC literate

The V5535 supports 4GB DDR2 667Mhz.
Is your memory 667Mz? If yes try to update the BIOS on the latest version.

DDR2 667 MHz is also known as PC2-5300. So if it says that, it's also fair game, although there are different sub-types of the same RAM, as well as different brands, that may cause incompabilities.

I suggest updating your bios to the latest version, the last version i flashed into my bios had a fix for the 800 MHz memory modules, so i guess the bios version does affect how the laptop interacts with any installed RAMs.

But take care when you're doing this.
