[V5535] - Hard-Drive Upgrades?

Postby pp4eva » Mon Jan 12, 2009 16:35

Ok so mine is around 100Gb but I need to fit so much more on there. Ideally I would like a 500Gb hard-drive.

Is this possible on the 5535? Has anyone done it and if so where did they purchase from? and how much am I likely to need to spend??

Thanks

Thanks for your reply

I would be more than happy with 250, do you know how I would go about doing it?

I've got a WD Scorpio 320Gb in mine and it's been flawless for the last 12 months.

WD3200BEVT - Dabs have them for £53

Thanks for your reply,

Can I ask how you went about putting it in, and copying all your old data programs etc?

Cheers

changing the HDD is easy, on the back side of your laptop you will see a panel that has a cylindrical type icon on it and with it will be a screw, unscrew it and remove the panel, below it u will find your hard drive, carefuly remove it. In my esprimo V5535 the hard drive panel is just below the USB ports.

as for data transfer you can either transfer your old data to another PC via a LAN connection or save your data in flash drives or the easiest would be to write DVD's. You have a DVD writer, so i think its about time you used it :)
