[V5545] LCD or VGA failed in work.

I had the same problem with my Esprimo 5545, both on XP Professional and Vista Business X64:



This happened for the first time only three days after the purchase during the system set-up, and at that moment I referred it to drivers and/or system instability. Then, after nearly a month, the same problem repeated again rapidly in a few occasions...

Finally, after I've reported the problem to Helpdesk, FSC Service replaced the motherboard, and I haven't experienced any problems since.

Hello people!

At the moment i have in my home my nootebook, the SAT said me that the esprimo mobile v5545 series have got this problem and fujitsu will resolved this incident with remplacing the motherboard or lcd panel.

Please i have a question :

Can you identify your chipset and ansewr me in this post?

My esprimo with cpuid software show me that my chipset is INTEL GM965 and the specifications of ESPRIMO V5545 show the INTEL 965PM All the have got the intel GM965?

I do not understand why do they have to fake it?

They also say: "Audio: Conexant CX20549/Stereo speakers/Internal microphone"
but I have a problem with setting up Skype or MSN to work with built-in mic. I can't even be sure if there is one!

Have you ever used microphone on your Esprimo? How to test/detect it?

Sorry, for writing so late

It turns out that the problem in my case ( the Reply with the pictures with the spots ) is on a software level.
They tried to change almost everything in my laptop... but installing other other Windows OS was actually the cure (Sp2 Pro)

I had the exactly same problem with my 5545 laotop which I bought 2 months agao in Australia. It happened intermittently and had been taken to DINGOTECH Fujitsu repaire shop 3 times in Australia, the mainboard had been replaced,but this problem is still existing.
I really don't know how to do with this and very scare to use it very upset!
Paid $1350 AUD and got a problem laotop, unhappy with this.
Can anybody give me some ideas? THANK YOU

I Have V5545 and Vista Ultimate 32.
I upgrade driver For network REALTEK by Microsoft windows updates.
If i traveled in network from explorer in a few seconds (10-15)
my screen (LCD) is "Fired" also in picture in forum.

I backup driver from FSC download center.

and OK!!!

I have LCD problem from the beginning, same as you describe in this topic. When i install new OS without INTEL drivers, this "fireing LCD" never hapend again. I sure that is not hardware problem.

i have the same problem here. i experienced it 2 times since i buy this product. im using it for 1 month. FSC should recall this product because this is happening in almost 5545.

i dont get what your trying to say in installing new OS. are you saying that i need to format and install another OS? what happen to the preinstalled licensed os?
