V2045 XP-Pro

I had to replaced HDD i cannot reinstall both "Network Controller" and "Mass Storage Controller"

Where are the drivers for them?

Obviously do this from a working machine with internet access and download them to a usb stick.

Downloaded the drivers as required but they will not work!

I still have the ? in the Device Manager - I have deleted the device restarted but no luck!

Any ideas please

install this one from the driver download aswell:

Intel Matrix-Storage-Manager 5.0.0.1032
09.03.2005

the ?other device - pci communications controller will be this one: Motorola SM56 Data Fax Modem
if you still have a problem please take a snapshot of Device manager please.
(press Prt Scr key and then paste Ctrl+V key to a paint program.

Simple questions

Should the drivers be installled in a particular order (I know that DELL do give a guide to show the order)?

its recommended you install the chipset driver first. This is more relevent to Esprimo / tower units though not laptops.
then any order after the chipset.

I have found the problem WLan driver had not been installed correctly!

I took the long way and installed them all again!
