Startup problem with Amilo Pro V3205

Postby Alinco » Sun May 15, 2011 7:35

When I turn on my Amilo Pro V3205, the power indicator comes on and I hear the cdrom turning, but nothing else happens, the screen doesn't come on at all, the capslock key doesn't come on when I press it and the cdrom drive won't eject.
What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There could be more than 1 reason and its difficult to suggest what on a forum. All you can do is try and dissapate the power from the unit by removing the battery and the ac adapter and hold the power button in for 10 secs. After this plug the ac adapter in but leave the battery out and see if the motherboard posts (power on self test)

Well, I was just refurbishing the computer and I haven't got an AC power adapter yet. But there are one or two issues: I just replaced the screen (which was damaged) and the CPU fan is missing (I'm planning to get one as soon as possible), could any of these have anything to do with the problem?

Thanks.
