Scaleo P Motherboard Failure

Postby Basingstoke » Thu Jul 25, 2013 14:25

Hi,

My computer man tells me that the capacitors on my FS Scaleo P motherboard have failed which might explain why my computer won't start. I am now left with the problem of how do I manage to recover my data files from my hard disk. I have tried setting up this XP SP3 hard disk a slave on another pc but unfortunately the documents directory for my name is not accessible. How do I unlock this directory ?

If I manage to buy another similar FS Scaleo P would I be able to replace the hard disk with my own and hence be back in business ?

Hi Sabrex,

It is loaded with Windows XP SP3 (Home edition).

Given that there is now hope that the data is recoverable I wonder if some kind owner of a Scaleo P in the Basingstoke, Hampshire or Reading, Berkshire area might get in touch with me to help me unlock my data.

Regards

Basingstoke
