Problem with black screen

Postby Fourgehan » Thu Feb 11, 2021 17:40

Hello,
i have problems with my M730n, when i start a game it immediately goes in black. I can hear sound but i cannot restore screen. I need to hard reset my workstation. Temperatures are ok, at least it looks like they are ok. In attachment is my configuration. I have replaced graphic card but problem persist. Any idea what can be wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Hello :)

1. It might be due to driver incompatibility, M730 was released with Windows7, Windows 10 was not tested.

2. GTX 1070 was not tested with Celsius M730.

3. Verify if all drivers are updated.

4. It is possible that the power supply is Insufficient. Celsius M730 was equipped with only 500W PS, and you have 4 hard drives connected. Also, note that the maximum efficiency of PS is about 90%.

Let me close the deal :)
I have changed graphic card to Nvidia K4200 and there is no black screen.
I definitely need a stronger power supply.
Thanks for advice, it helped.

The pcie power cable uses the +12V_V5 connector from the factory psu. That gives only 17-18Amps.
